For myself, mostly life experiences & observations brought me to my conclusions.

I saw so much hypocrisy in what was supposed to be divine word and in those who claimed to be the carriers of that word, my heart & head told me something was amiss.

Your post answered my "books" question, but what about the "famous authors"? Is their opinion to be found in their writings alone or elsewhere?
