Bigscore: We already know who has the big brass rings. They are on the fingers of whoever bought the Reg. S shares of CHIP for 16 cents on April 8. The same day CHIP shares briefly ran to 55 cents on the wonderful news about the lawsuit.

Give that person our regards, will you?

IMO, yesterday's press release by CHIP seems to show a glimmer of hope. It appears they've acquired privately-owned lakebed playa of the type that is supposed to contain PMs. Since the land is privately held, there is far less red tape to getting a mine up and running. I suppose this may mean the company has to tear down the pilot plant they tore down at Tecopa and moved to Nevada, and re-erect it at this new site.

Now all the company has to do is make the pilot plant work. My understanding (correct me if I'm wrong) is that it did work for a little while last year before parts failed from the desert heat. In my opinion as a shareholder, I still firmly believe that Lancaster has had plenty of opportunity, time and money to make the pilot plant work and the stock chart reflects the level of success he achieved. However, what's past is prologue, and I hope Montle can plot a course forward now.

Bigscore, <<pick these companies apart>> Thank goodness people are picking them apart, these companies operate in ways that encourages shareholders to be skeptical. Promise without demonstration of anything of substance and musical objectives provide lots of reasons for doubt. If one just listened to the company promises, some dirt's would be "sold" as stocks for widows and orphans. I'm damn glad there are the critics and the internet to share that doubt. Companies don't have anything to fear from doubters, shareholder have much more to fear from company BS. Solid accomplishment can never be denied, BS always can. Stock appreciation at any cost? As in Becket, Richard Rich is asked if he was willing to lose his soul for Wales, I'm not ready to lose mine over paper.
