<<Always remember -- when someone is selling, someone else is buying. >>

True, Drake. But how often is the one who is buying during low vol. activity the Market Maker, who has a responsibility to maintain an "orderly" market and may be building his/her inventory? I know this is how it works; what I don't know is to what extent. Point being, the "someone else buying" could be the MM, in which case the ramifications are somewhat different than you or I stepping up to the counter.

Not disagreeing with your statement as written; just trying to think it through. I'd appreciate your response as you probably know much more about this aspect of the market than I do. ...Tim
