Dan

You and others have talked about a trading range with the low at 17 1/2 or so but the high of that range keeps coming down so now everyone sells at @20 but a few months ago they sold at @22 and before that @24 (I don't have the exact numbers but check a chart). Why not call it a triangle. The roof comes down lower and lower every month.
Plus if semis like Intel are in trouble the little companies could get killed. There is a long term possibly bearish story on this stock.
Earnings as low as 50 cents for the year. I mean come on.

dan--

i agree about the buyout rumors. i really hate whenever they start flying around because it takes the focus away from the company, and puts it on the hope of a near term, large payoff.

all-
dont buy VLSI if you think it is going to be taken over. all you will do is feed the shorts and market makers if it breaks support and you start to sell. dont get me wrong, i think you should buy the stock, i just think you should buy it because it is a good company.

also, has anyone else started picking up TXN?

good luck to all,
trey

Hi DZ,
I added another 4% to my holding in VLSI today at $17-1/2. $16-1/2 is my next buy price. There's still some cash in reserve for this stock, but it's getting pretty thin. I'm good for about 3 or 4 more buys before the cash is exhausted.

From a value perspective, VLSI looks very good. From a Time-Value point of view, I would have preferred to see the stock break through the 26 week Moving Average and STAY THERE for a while!! It's showing about $21+ for the MA right now.

My stock holding in VLSI is at an all time high in # of shares.

Best regards, Tom
