The buzz on the street is that it will be at least 3 quarters before the chip sector bottoms out. ( At least thats what was on CNBC this morning.)

OK, 9 months. Long term to the traders and a gift for me.

I think its the average volume for the trailing 30 days, but I'll double check the article and let you know. Volume continues to dry up, in 3 months the average daily volume may well be 50,000 shares or less if this continues. With about a million shares short that's a cover ratio of 20 days. I kinda doubt a short squeeze will materialize, but it will add to the buy side. No one will happier than me when this puppy starts moving up!
