Key question. Why did it take the FDA so long to figure out that this 501K application didn't fit their criteria? Answer may be that NMPS had a chance and might have been encouraged to file the 501K. A similar fate awaited NPTH last year when they were encouraged to file without a full set of trials. I think that we might wish to criticize MNPS management but I think the FDA is also at fault. Perhaps due to lack of leadership there. Soon they will have a leader and that will be good news for all concerned.
