With all due respect we are nowhere near the business bottom... none of the rationalization and consolidation required to take capacity out of the market-place has occurred yet... we are merely at the transitional point between hope (that things will muddle through) and despair (that the sky will fall on our heads)... the time to buy is when the institutions lose their nerve - many points due south of here.

(IMO the attempts to pump liquidity into the Asian econmoies will make matters worse in the short to medium term by in effect subsidizing uneconomic production and delay real recovery till 2000.)

Eugene, the 1996 low close was $11.25 on 7/24/96. The low btb
occurred in September. The following URLs show both...

Gene,
I hope so!! I've been very patient waiting for what I consider
the right moment to increase my position at lower prices. I'm still
waiting for my price target < $32 which looks to occur soon. I don't
see much growth activity in the chip manufacturing realm for the
next 6 months. Still sticking with my high/ low target prices on
GM's site.

Just my opinion,
BB
