Thanks, I was not aware that the sharing neighbors would crowd the thing

However, until that happens, I would have to rate the cable modem above ADSL, since it is much faster. Wouldn't you agree? I know we're quibbling here,just want to make sure I understand things correctly.

Question on cable. Is it not also so that (in addition to
sharing with other hookups in whatever passes for a cable
local loop) you must submit to the cable company's idea
of how you should run your interface? That is, the cable
co is your ISP, no choice? Or am I misunderstanding
something. If not; just how do you get into an ISP
via cable?
