betty - both drugs are vasodilators and combined, can cause severe hypotension (drop in blood pressure). It will take an autopsy most likely to truly pinpoint the cause of death. As PFE has been quick to point out, Viagra was never meant to be taken with nitroglycerin products - this was well known prior to FDA approval of Viagra, just as were most of the side effects that are being reported.

Betty Ann:

The man would have died without Viagra. Ask any GP how many deaths they have seen which happened during coitus and you will be surprised at the high number.
