Even with all the bad news, we stayed above 7 which to me was positive. I would not be suprised to see trading tomorrow between the 7 -7 15/16 range.

Many corporations permit directors and officers to sell shares or exercise options ONLY within a short window immediately following the issuance of a financial statement. My guess is that shares being sold now by IFMX execs are probably being sold to comply with the timing. I don't have a problem with this, but the re-fried earnings statement is troubling.

Informix insiders have a 30 day trading window starting 2 business days after the release of earnings, but must close at least 30 days before the close of the next quarter (That means the window in February is often less than 30 days).

It is not unusual for larger holders to set up a periodic disposal plan registered with the SEC where they will sell approximately the same amount each quarter over a period of years. I knew 3 former officers who had this kind of plan.
