Steve,

Did you ever have time to figure out the answer to Spots queery re whether shares are added to the float by shorting. (It was something like that.)

A purchases 110 XYX, B borrows them and sells the same 110 sh short to C. D borrows them and sells them short to E. A, C and E show a total of 330 sh in their combined accounts, but there are only 110.

Perhaps it is more like Al's neighbor Bob borrows Al's car and sells it to Charles. Charle's Uncle borrows it and resells it to David. There is still just one car and when Al needs it, and Bob will have to buy it back from David to return to Al. At all times, there is only one car but three people think they own it.

TIA

Richard James

>>>Also, Fred, I believe you were the one who asked about options a while back? did you ever get a thread started? I 'd love to read it, can you drop a url up here? My main problem with options is they are usually too complex to discuss up here and ther are certain disclosures I would have to meet as a liscensed professional.>>>

Don't think it was me...try the Tech Stock Options thread.
exchange2000.com
Lots of options players there ....some very good ones at that and overall market forecasters like myself. I post there but don't trade options, just long short stocks and funds. My bread an butter is playing the Rydex Funds with some systems i've worked on = less headaches!!

...waiting for Craig to tell us how it resolved itself...

So..how can he have a case if the bid never got there???
Explain this to me ...PLEASE!!!.... How does the Manning Rule apply to Craig's case? Exactly what is the Manning Rule?

..and Craig I'm reading that link AGAIN. Don't be a sorry ASSED looser and I won't be a dick about it!!!
