Yeah, i've read that S3 is pricing 10k units at $35, but there is also scuttlebutt around cmp threads that S3 will use its "manufacturing prowress" to continue to push this down to "main stream" pricing.

My guess on mainstream pricing is $25 in q4, $20 in q1, $15 in q2 which will account for:
nvidia TNT
Videologic PVSRG
3dfx Banshee
ATI next chip
G200 competition pricing

maybe i'm too pessimistic, but graphics chips is as competitive as the disk drive market and dram market. you know what happened to those company's margins...
