The problem with you March 1997 post from Barton Biggs comments is that at that time a rolling correction in the techs was occurring and many of them had dropped 60% and by the 3rd week of April 1997 most had dropped 60%, some 80%. If you agreed with Barton Biggs, the great pessimist, you would not have bought the incredible bargins in the techs that could be readily had and from the 3rd week or April 97, anyone that bought the tech dips in the good companies made a killing; average return 100% within 4 months! They came roaring back like champs. Then the Asia thing hit and we got another incredible buying opportunity. We'll see another great opportunity if the techs get slammed this time. Technology is the auto industry of the 1930's right now and we haven't even gotten to the 1950's when it really takes off. Bartin Biggs is an old fuddy duddy who probably still uses a typewriter and doesn't understand the power of the internet. Most of my friends don't use the internet much and don't realize the revolutionary nature of it. My house uses it now to do most purchases! We save 30% off the best prices from retailers locally. We also find information about products impossible to get unless you had access as a buyer with a major retail business. That is just one small aspect of this amazing thing called the internet.
