a good case in point to what I think we both are saying is the behavior of intc this last 1 1/2 yr verses the previous performance. Currently intel is trading in a band, very sawtooth. Prior to about 1 1/2 yrs ago it was proceeding along a pretty good slope. I think it would be a tough argument to make to invest in intel however it presents regular good trading opportunities. At some point I and, I guess, you reason that Dell will start trading in a band, very sawtooth. The question remains when will this start. I think we both agree, it's too early to tell. But it's a question of when, not if.

<<You keep buying the dips. That stratagy has been proven, over the long haul, to be less than stellar.>>

What? Where is the evidence of that? Buying great companies (especially tech) whose stock price dips (for little or no fundamental reason) has proven pretty successful for a long, long time.........

<<I was on the PSFT thread a few weeks ago. I wonder how they are doing on their buy the dip stratagy?>>

I've read a little on Peoplesoft, and they appear to be well-positioned vs. BAANF/SAP and others. If their international plans go well, it appears that their stock will do well over the next few years. But I haven't fully researched them, so I can't really comment on...

What I can comment on is that IT IS RIDICULOUS FOR YOU TO COMMENT ON ANY 4-6 WEEK PERIOD OF PRICE MOVEMENT WITH TECHSTOCKS. (Talk to me about Peoplesoft in another 3 months). We all know that are inherently volatile, and subject to short-term price downward swings of 15,20, 25%...it has happened to every major tech stock in the 90's.........and you would have made a killing by buying the dips (when the dip was not based on a fundamental loss of value of the company- like with Oracle).

That has been an "apparent trend" for quite sometime.
