From
msnbc.com

". . .Indeed, Microsoft attorney John Warden said in court that at least some retailers would begin to receive Windows 98 on June 15, 10 days before the formal launch on June 25. As you said win98 can have two monitor operated simultaneously, so can I do something on my monitor, so that user on the other side of the continent can see
the same things that I am doing on my monitor ? If that is the case, then this feature can be a very useful one. People can use this feature for real time conference, and discussion. People on two different monitors can share the same information on two different monitors in real time and held a discussion.

I think Microsoft will be in a win win position even without the explorer bundled.
The explorer can be downloaded directly from the net when users first load the
win98 OS. What Microsoft has to implement into win98 is :
during the implementation of the win98, the screen only needs to show the followings :

" If you want to have the following functions in your OS, then please hit the
ENTER bottom to download the explorer now ", then the explorer will be
loaded from the net automatically and integrated with the OS . With such arrangement, the only difference is the explorer will not go to the user together with the floppy disk, but from the net. To a common user, it really does not matter
which browser to use, what is matter is the convenience, and especially the explorer
can offer certain features which the competitors do not have.
