Dragonfly: You are, no doubt, having a lot of fun pulling people's chains in defending Clinton. I'm enjoying this thread very much-thanks for starting it. As far as all the evidence you refer to that no one is presenting at your feet....well....all I can say is you must be reading too much of your college textbooks and watching network TV and not enough reading of newspapers or listening to the cable media. It's a good tactic, while in the middle of a process, to grind everything to a halt by again asking for what has already been presented. It's just too lengthy to go into in detail. I think there's plenty of evidence, much of it circumstantial at the moment, to show that Mr. Bill has obstructed justice in both the Whitewater caper and the Lewinsky affair, that he has perjured himself and suborned perjury, that he has abused the power of his office in ruining the lives of the Travel Office personnel with trumped up charges to get his Arkansas buddies into the job, that he or his cronies purposely absconded with over 900 confidential FBI files of his political opponents (an offense for which Charles Colson went to prison for having one FBI file), that he sold the Lincoln bedroom and access to his 'coffees' at unprecedented levels, that he sold the rights to the hallowed grounds of Arlington Cemetery (a truly despicable act), that he sold access to the White House to foreign agents-giving them top secret clearances, that he has used the IRS to intimidate those critical of him (a good site to expand your horizons of higher learning re: this and other outrages- judicialwatch.org, that he orchestrated payoffs to act as 'hush money' for Webster Hubbell, Monica Lewinsky, et. al., that he is the most prolific liar, manipulator (couching his causes in the name of children every chance he gets-reminds me of Saddam Hussein with that boy before the war-tearing up on command-witness the theatrics at Ron Brown's funeral), etc., etc.-it goes on and on. Yeah....other prezs weren't angels but Mr. Bill has outdone them all and all at once. Senator Thompson's committee was ridiculed by the Dem shills, with John Glen leading the charge (you can see how he was rewarded), when he opened the hearings by stating there was evidence that China attempted to influence the election. Guess what. He was right and there's not even any question that China attempted to do so. It's just another example of the Dems trying to block any Repub effort to 'win' anything-like getting at the truth. The Dems idea of success is blocking the Repubs no matter what they try to do. Reagan squeaks by and its a "landslide". Nobody I know of on this or any other thread has stated this. Just another attempt to deviate and obfuscate. He was elected twice.......The people have spoken. Sorry. Does anyone honestly believe if "The people" knew what they know today that Mr. Bill would get elected? That's a joke, isn't it? Remember, hardly anything we know today was known then except for his alleged affair w/Jennifer Flowers which he denied and later admitted-another lie. Although, again, he lied about that stating he only slept with her once-there are really a lot of gullible people out there who belive that one. I believe sixty minutes and my college history textbook more than you. ROFLMAO....this is really funny. I know you must have meant to introduce levity into this topic when I read that. Yeah, Sixty Minutes, now there's the finest example of unbiased journalism on the planet. I cracking up over that one. And the college textbook? This is even funnier. A textbook? Now if I want to study the left's perspective on any issue I'll read a college textbook. 'Nuff said on that matter. Dragonfly...you are just a kid and, I'm sure, have the best of intentions. I wish I were your age and less cynical than I am now. You've got a lot going for you but naievety isn't one of them. You need to develop more cynicism while examining the issues. I did after Nixon and I'm sure you will after Clinton. halfscot

Reagan won two BIG landslides and mandates in 1980 and 1984. In fact, in 1984 Reagan won the greatest electoral landslide in US history by winning 49 states. Clinton will be remembered as not only one of the most corrupt presidents ever, but also as the first to fail to achieve even a bare majority in two elections! Both Nixon and Wilson came back from minority status, but Slick still missed the mark. The majority voted against Clinton in the past two elections.
