CGB,

My point in this particular instance is that the Little Lindbergh Law is still on the books. In point of further clarification, Caryl Chessman was known also as The Red Light Bandit. He had several victims, not just one.

Caryl Chessman was executed in 1960. The death penalty was repealed by the voters in 1972. Off hand, I do not remember the exact year the death penalty was reinstated. I do not know how many executions took place between 1960 and 1972 or for what crimes. However, such information should not be too hard to come by.

Here's a trivia question for you: Can you name the five women who have been executed in California? I believe at least one of them was executed after 1960 but will have to look it up to be sure. BTW, the woman I have in mind in this timeframe did not directly commit murder.

Since you choose to bring it up on this thread, my point on Rambi this afternoon was that you, by your own admission and in your own words, as noted on that thread this afternoon, have neither the time nor inclination to do research. To me, such a statement speaks for itself, but I'll let the others on this thread draw their own conclusions.
