hello fred, and thank you very much for your personal reply to my question to jon tara (#reply-4570204). your input on zip, jaz and cd are much appreciated. imo, the thread would benefit from your reply, if it was in "the main room". i doubt that we are so focused on CREAF here that we can't tolerate a slight off topic deviation .<ggg> so is it correct that the primary difference between dvd and removable storage devices like jaz is speed? happy holiday to everyone. mr.mark
