Semi: I am not absolutely sure about an SEC investigation. That's why I asked the question. I just recall reading somewhere about an SEC investigation. It may have been from this or some other forum. It also may be related to Phil White and the other former officers and not IFMX itself.

This can be found in the documents filed with the SEC. From a mention in a recent filing related to the stock offering due to the convertible preferred, I see that it is still an ongoing investigation.
