g'day Brett & all - Brett, I ve not followed Fri action; however, I am not sure the premise is necessarily correct about speculative rumor causing the reversal, especially in light of Greg's post Message 4576090. If AG Edwards has turned bullish on BAY based on its analysis, noone can take it away from it.

[somewhat offtopic,] IMHO [thus not necessarily valid either <g>,] it may be a bit difficult to use MER as a parallel. One should also be mindful that the financial sector has made a reversal since the beginning of the year [btw, did you catch Messr Eugene Peroni Jr plugging for MER on NBR?] However, I do think you ve hit a chord. On WS Week, a couple of commentators have said [wishf <g>?] that the "tech wreck" is over, so it has be possible the whole networking sector follow the financial sector to turn UP.

Still, I don't see it is indicative of takeover [rumor] fever. Of course, if one chooses to believe that, one certainly can use it as one of the buy-hold-sell considerations

good luck too

best, B
