Bob, What do you think the Name Jesus means? Is He not Savior? You are going on feelings alone. All Jewish men are given a Hebrew name at their Brit (circumcision) which we know from scripture Jesus had a Brit when Simeon met them at the Temple. Do you think the Priest gave Him the name Yeshua or Jesus? These names are given regardless of the tongue of the land as it was Aramaic at the time doesn't matter He would have been given a Hebrew Name. My sons have Hebrew names Dovid and Shmuel even though we speak English. The real sly twisting is to say He was given an English Name to make you feel better. Nancy

In this matter you are wrong because God was the one that gave the name of Yeshua to Himself ( The Son). I like to point out that Yeshua came to save the lost in this world. If you look in the book of Joshua it was God that changed his name to Joshua witch was just a picture of the true Savior. Do you actually belive that Jesus's first name is Jesus and Last name is Christ? The Messiah has many names I suggest you look it up in Is:9 that will give you some ideas. Regards Joshua
