Mr. King, that was just for the record, information provided in aid of developing a clear understanding of whom Mr. Tobin claims he is speaking for. Democratic principles aside, I think his errors of omission will only serve to raise the issues that he would prefer to bury. I am not anti-Tobin, anti-Wells, anti-government, or anti-Inco. I am interested in the way power relations are affected by particular forms of rhetoric that are concomitant with the VB development.

The unfortunate thing for me is that his rhetoric cannot be placed below my level of historic research. I have to deal with it, otherwise what I am researching would be missing a important elements. But I should have been more careful and waited until I had time to add a few normative comments to those quotes.

I also posted that material in haste in order to appease Mr. Crebs. He has been messing with my metaphorical musings lately, so I am under pressure to impress him because I fear he might retract his long standing offer of free beer.

I'm after that elusive free lunch.
