Oh FT, what limited imagination you have. You are absolutely no fun at all. But I will be charitable and explain my choice to you. I am a big movie fan, and when thinking up a new nom de plume I thought of taking something from the movies for my alias. X, The Unknown appealed to me partly because of the "X" for x chromosome (which nobody seems to ever think of), partly because I wished to be "unknown", and partly because for an old sci fi flick it was a very good one. Make of that what you will. Democracies, "rule by the people", I guess have the "right" to do whatever the people want. In our particular democracy limits have been placed on what the majority can do to the minority. I personally think it is moral to protect the minority for one should always imagine oneself in it. However, I also think that if everyone agrees that a certain amount of taxes are necessary for the running of the society, than if a majority of the people agree, that is the way it will be, do I think they have the right to take everything away from you? No, I do not belive everything can be taken from you, except under judgment in certain criminal and civil matters. But I do think the people have a right to set the amount which must be contributed by those who have the privilege of living in the US. If you think of it as dues to an exclusive country club the rest of the world wishes it could belong to, does that make it a little more understandable for you? One always has the option to leave . Why do you stay here if the way things are run is so repugnant to you? There must be better places for you. I can certainly think of several.
