Anthropomorphism is: "an interpretation of what is not human or personal in terms of human or personal characteristics". As in a company having a motive. If you insist, tell me where the company's motive comes from, if not from individuals.

You are only partly right. A corporation is an entity, a partnership or sole proprietorship is not. I can see you are trying to define mostly the Fortune 1000 companies. You must know that more than 70% of the businesses in the U.S. are small business employing less than 25 employees.

There is only one reason for any business venture to exist: to make a profit. That does not mean it must sell its philosophical soul, be unethical, or immoral or foolhardy about the future to create those profits. No company wants to destroy its future customers whilst going about creating profits today.
