As an addendum to the previous post:

Along with BMC which completed a PGDCEB signal on Fri., there are 3 others threatening to signal: HCIA, AGP and the one Ivan pointed out, DEPO.
Also, Ivan's concerns being duly noted, MMGC is a double bottomed cat. Hmph, must be Siamese.

Doug

On your volume watch list, is it LABS or LABZ?

Now for the list of short term bullish patterns for volume watch. The size of this list is indicative of the amount of stocks that became very oversold early last week. I've divided the entire dreadnought "volume watch" list into different categories.

For those that like to bottom fish or play short term technical bounces there's the "showing signs of a short term bottom" list. The downside risk is easily identified on these stocks as any trading below the recent bottom put in (unless of course a quick recovery from there on heavy volume is exhibited). Entry is dictated by the beginning of a move up on good early volume:

AND
ANEN
ANGN
ARTT
AS
ASFT
ASPX
ASTM--very volatile stock
ASTX
AVRT
BCGI--strong sign of a bottom
CHK--still trying to bottom...low risk if 4 3/16 is used as a mental stop
DAVE--a PGDCEB
FDLNA
FISV
GMTC
HCIA--a PGDCEB
ICGX--looks like a good one
LIPO
MAIN
MCRE
PRTL
RLLY
TMO
UTI
VII
WBB--a very strong one
XION
*****************************************

Next are the stocks that have broken out of a downtrend or other chart formation. Volume is critical to these stocks in order that they continue moving. Movement early on heavy volume would signal a buy and waning volume as trading nears a close would raise a caution flag. If volume for the day does not approach very recent levels, any continuation is likely to be over for the time being (examples of this critical nature of volume in the following stocks can be seen in last week's performance in RECY, RAYS, MTIC, RGEN and MEDX):

AIM.....ALDNF.....APCO.....APOG.....ARTC.....ASGR
ASTE.....ATLPA.....AW.....AZA.....BFT.....BIOX
BKE.....CLCI.....CML.....CSNO.....CSRE.....DTE
DUK.....EAII.....ELGT.....FFGI.....FNM.....FRE
GPS.....HURC.....IVX.....KTIE.....LHSPF.....LTC
MATH.....MDYN.....MTON.....NTKI.....ONPT.....PLAT
RNTK (looks very good).....TACO.....TXCC.....VVTV
**********************************************

Next up, stocks that really got hit hard last week and are on there way to what could be called a strong recovery:

ABN.....BAR.....DBCC.....EXPO.....HNV.....MCLL.....WAST
**************************************************

Last but not least, the rest of the list with assorted short term bullish stuff going on in their charts:

AABC--thinly traded but lately the majority of it is on the buy side
AAHS--could sneak up and go
ABE--a strong breakout
ABTX--look for a break above 19 3/4 on volume as a signal
ACTC--could sneak up and go
ACYT--A nice bullish engulfing candle on Friday
AHA--could easily roll back up to 20 again
AINN--seems to be waiting for uptrending support to arrive
AKSY--monthly chart remains bullish
ALHY--a decent sized bump up is possible
ALLS--A nice bullish engulfing candle on Friday
ALN--now that's a short term unsustainable down trend, a quick bounce is likely soon
ALSC--approaching the major down trend line for a nasty retest of the MIMBO
AMHC--the most frequent entry to the "volume watch" list
AMTC--resolving a pennant--upside break on volume would be a buy signal--volatility suggests a quick trade
ANIK--could sneak up and go
ANLT--is telegraphing 35 for starters
ANRG--looks to be moving strongly
AQM--wants to move up and test 5 again
ARMF--possible quick speculative trade opportunity approaching
ARWM--hmmmm
ASGN--looking ready to resume
ASHW--another unsustainable downtrend--a good bounce at the bottom is likely
ASM--current strong volume with a breakout possibility just overhead
BDK--seems to like it up there
BLDG--still maintaining well
BUS--a nice triangle--wait for the breakout on volume
COST--seems to like it up there
DEEP--hmmmmmm
EGPT--HMMMMMMM
C, F, GM, HDI--looks like stock market profits are being turned into autos and hawgs
GNTIY--interesting ascending triangle
GPI--newly broken out
GRH--nice pennant
GTNR--another nice pennant
HDIE--its HTF is still very much intact

IVIP--a possible snap back is in the works--watch it closely
KRY--still well positioned for a breakout
LABS--uptrend intact leading into the beginning of a symmetrical triangle
LAKE--a very nice day on Friday
LPGLY--still chuggin'
ORNGY--still chuggin'
SCVL--looks very ready
TFCE--has everything going for it. I'm in it @ 2 15/16 for starters. If it goes, I won't chase it past 3 1/4 though (I'm funny like that)
