Christine:

Smart Balance sounds interesting. Canola oil is a ruse. It was named by Canada (hence CANola) as something that sounded more politically correct than rapeseed oil. That even you believe it is healthy shows how good marketing wizards can be (I know because I am one myself). Canola oil is no more healthy than general purpose corn, soybean or safflower oils. Canola oil is processed by extreme heat, left to oxidize in light and air, and has most all of its natural nutrients stripped of it during processing. The heat and light load it up with plenty of dancing transfatty acids just hungering to find a nice artery to call home -- or to assist a normal every day cell to become a unique and highly more interesting cancer cell.

I have been taking grapeseed oil for over a year and found it to be exceedingly beneficial.

As for palm oil -- I truly believe that if WE were married I would take you right now, massage you all over with palm oil, lick it all off, and be healthier afterwards than I am right now!!!!!
