13s TA for week of 5/26/98

volume, volume, volume

disclaimer: not intended as investment advise. Please consult a financial planner and do your own DD prior to any investment decision.

First off a market look: Since most, if not all, of the stocks we persue on the 13 thread are small caps I would like to share my thoughts regarding the Russell 2000. Well, in a nutshell, it looks real ugly. I think we have a good 8-10% downside left and that does not take into account the 6% we are already down from the recent all time highs.

That said I would like to share why I feel good about this action in the market. First, it is healthy for the market to shake out the weak hands and give long term bulls (like myself) some bargains to put into a long term portfolio. Second, we will get a much better understanding of the strength of the 13s in a correcting environment than we could ever get in a charging market. Third, every spring needs to be coiled before it can extend itself. The tighter the coil the stronger the spring effect.

Well I am being called for dinner so the TA of the stocks will be on a later post
