dan--

again, i dont understand all the technicals. i know this is a good company with solid prospects going farward. right now the entire semi sector is being hit with a sector sell type of mentality. this thing happens constantly in the market.

ADI i do know a little bit about, mostly from the xDSL side of their business. i think they may have been expecting their partnership with AWRE to pay off soon, but it does not look like it will in addition, AWRE now has a second source of chips, LU. so, from that standpoint i dont think ADI is all that safe a bet.

dont worry about support lines, and whether the index will fall below 255, unless you trade the index<G>. just focus on the company. if it looked good at 20 or higher, it should look even better now. the short term will take care of itself.

good luck to all,
trey

D.Z: Thx for your T.A on VLSI. I observed that VLSI, TER, ADI, ALTR and XLNX are one of the core holdings in one or more Tech Mutual Funds. I am now trying to evaluate a strike price and risk/reward for each of them. Like the M.F's , I believe these Stocks have excellent growth and reasonable valuations.

I would appreciate your relative ratings and details for the 5 I have listed.

Thx.
