Thanks for your personal insight. I recall you also mentioning something about Malaysia not really having true free speech or something along those lines. You also mentioned that you are surprised at the candor of the South China Morning Post. Well me too! The mainland Chinese government probably has no say in what they print(my guess only).

Anyway, say if you were a working person in China, had all your savings tucked away in a bank, and then you pick up the South China Morning Post. Wouldn't you be concerned to read that maybe 40% of outstanding loans in the nation may be, "bad?" Why hasn't their been a run on the banks? Must be a cultural gap that I don't understand. I think if news were to hit the US press, there would be a panic.
