"Why can't a woman be like a man?" Well in New York....... The service problem at Novell is due to the failure to think out the VAR strategy clearly. They have big VAR's that do the solutions for the big companies and small VAR's that sell boxes and little networks. They know they have this big channel investment and they are afraid to do anything in the service area for fear of upsetting the VAR's. However Computer Associates would do something quite different with Novell wouldn't it! =================== Oh yeh, um the channel is supposed to be a vehicle for add-on sales. IT's a part of the strategy to buy the next Netscape that Eric is developing.....
