Michael, I think you may have misunderstood what I was saying about cocaine. The main, um, thrust of my post is that it is not any kind of aphrodisiac, but more of a mind stimulating drug. For example, did your friends seem like they wanted to have lots of sex, or were they more interested in talking all night? It sounds like the latter, from what you described.

I would agree with you that there is not a big cocaine hangover, from what I have seen, provided that sufficient sleep is gotten afterwards. Alcohol and mild tranquilizers like Valium seem to have been used sometimes by people I knew to ensure that they were able to go to bed.

Anxiety, agitation and the jitters would, I suspect, have something to do with the amount consumed, and whether the user had become psychologically addicted. Some people I knew could snort several grams on their own in an evening, while others simply dabbled occasionally at parties or on special occasions.

"Tirelessly chatty", as you put it, is a very good description for most users.
