Shalom, Romans 9:1-4 1 I say the truth in Christ, I lie not, my conscience also bearing me witness in the Holy Ghost. 2 "That I have great heaviness and continual sorrow in my heart. 3 For I could wish that myself were ACCURSED from Christ for my brethren, MY KINSMEN ACCORDING TO THE FLESH. (not a spiritual Kingdom but of the flesh) 4 (He further identifies them) WHO ARE ISRAELITES: to whom pertaineth the adoption and the glory, and the COVENANTS, and the giving of the Law, and service of God, AND THE PROMISES. 5 whose are the fathers, and of whom as concerning the FLESH Christ came, who is over all, God blessed forever. A-men. After all this identifying of who he was talking about and plainly stating it is the people of the flesh the next 1 verse is used to say he was really speaking of the Church. I will say that the love is the same for God for all so my point in this matter is to tell all people they will treat their spouses preferentially. Especially for Pauls sake that he held dear his people of the flesh as a normal person would. All throughout the New Testament it states that as soon as Paul entered a town he went to the Synagogue. I believe this is in keeping with the will of God; To the Jew first then to the Greek. I challenge my brethren in the Lord to uphold this principle we see it in the OT and the New Testament even the Great Commision Yeshua starts with being His witnesses in JERUSALEM, and in all Judea and Samaria and to the ends of the earth. (Acts.1:8) The special treatment is to give the Good News of freedom from bondage. To Israel as scripture says their labors have ended and their atonement is established through Messiah Yeshuas sacrifice.Prayer and the Gospel is the preferential treatment that all Israel is deserving of and all who are outside of the body of Messiah to the ends of the earth. I can't say there is allot of results but Paul never stopped even just before his death he was telling them the Good News, with Gods grace may we all do the same. Grace and peace to you, Nancy P.S. I am sorry to repeat this I read that Donald shared it with you after I had posted this and was delighted.
