You are truly nuts if you think I am a Zionist, Emile. While I think the Jews have been treated just horrendously throughout history, especially by the "Christians", and deserve a homeland, I wish it had been carved out of Germany after the Second World War, instead of Palestine. I cannot justify the atrocities that have been committed against the Palestinians any more than I can those against the Jews, and think it particularly horrible that a persecuted people would turn around and act in the same way they were treated, which caused them such incredible pain. And I think it is particularly absurd that the Zionists believe God gave them Israel. They have no stronger claim to it than the Christians and Muslims, for whom it is also very significant, historically. Palestinians were simply thrown out of their houses, off their lands, and ended up in refugee camps. There have been several massacres of them, including women and children, to terrorize them into leaving. I don't condone terrorism, or violence as a way to solve problems, but in the case of the Palestinians, it is a predictable reaction to acts by the Jews against them.
