When this was first getting going last year, everybody kept saying that nobody in their right mind would exercise them, because of float dilution concerns.

Suddenly, it's more important to remove the arbitrage potential and to force the MM's to cover?

Why did the thinking suddenly change? I've always intended to exercise mine; just wondering how and why the shift.

If the warrants are kept in a cash account, they are not available for shorting...my understanding.

That's right, doesn't bother me short-term. I won't exercise until after they are called. They will be worth $2.50+. If I had any extra money right now I sure wouldn't be exercising them, I would use the money to buy more warrants. I played SCTR and SCTRW years ago. The warrants got called I believe at around $4.00, in the next 30 days they got valued up to $10 per warrant. Exercising the warrants right now doesn't help your bottom line, it only keeps the pros from using your warrants for their games. Telling people to exercise their warrants right now I believe is very bad judgement. I think people should focus only on their accounts and how to maximize them. Worrying what the MM's and pros are doing is useless in the short term.
