trey,

I agree. I am just starting my research on WSTL. I am very familiar with ADSL (as a power user) and it's not going anywhere TODAY. But the latter part of this year and next year will yield the real story. The market will only accurately evaluate the price of a stock AFTER the earnings come in. BEFORE THAT, who can say what the market will do.

IMHO, if you're mad at the stock price, you've missed the story. Investors are very skitish with the present price of stocks in general. WSTL is largely speculation but given the deals that have locked in it looks good.

IS DSL going to be a big winner? I'd say it looks that way but:

1. There MUST be an accepted international (or at least national) standard.
2. They MUST do it SOON because there are other technologies out there. Cable modems may beat them out but I think the investments may be too high.
3. Will DSL providers price themselves OUT of the market. Some numbers I have seen will mean the usage will be limited.

Any thoughts from others. Don't complain about the price today because the real story plays out over the next TWO years.
