mistimed both of those. Sold some June puts in CMB today for a loss. Hoping for a bounce to go further out in time, but it appears that the word is out concerning Asian exposure. Will buy Septembers if the price holds or goes up tomorrow.

MU and BSX both tried to take on some water today. Even Larry Dudash was talking about MU @ 4. I guess even he has his bad bear days. <g>

Bought EWM back again today. Can't help flipping it lately, whenever I get more than 1/2 point. When's FPF gonna stabilize? Took so long for me to get the courage up to average down. Chile looking good compared to Latin America neighbors past few days. Feel good about that one long term.

MB, here are a couple of stocks that I'm wondering about:
CATD and TKLC, Cambridge Technology Partners and Tekelec: they were recommended by a short advisor. I don't know anything about them, and I'm at work so can't look them up right now. Would definitely appreciate any insight you might have. tia.

MB. Do you have an opinion about National Semiconductor's "PC on a chip". Should we look at this as vaporware? The mid-1999 delivery date seems overly optimistic. Seems to me that NSM needs to give the bulls a reason to support their stock price in the calamity days ahead. I would think a sub-$400 PC on a Chip would tank the top line growth of nearly every box maker in the business, except of course for Dell. <vbG>

Sorry about appointing Mr. Biggs this thread's bear mascot without a formal vote. Mr. Biggs is a master of the media and he always seems to tell everyone when he is raising cash but never when he is spending it. (I could be wrong on this though.)
