Actually, at the same time the intellectual property laws need to be revamped. If you got the copyright laws right in the first place, there would be no need for a subsequent DOJ intervention.

Although this may be somewhat off topic, I'd be interested to know what changes you would propose.

That's exactly right because if strict intellectual property laws had been in place, microsoft wouldn't have been able to become the predatory plagiarizer that it is today.
