Harold, thanks for addressing the multi-screen w/ NT/95 issue for me. I, too, want it all out in front of me, but think that since I am getting an entirely different system that I would be biting off more than I want to chew. Other than desire to have it all I am still somewhat considering under this scenario, that I stop using my computer as an enhancement for trading and work full time using the computer with trading/charting as a backdrop with which to run the computer system, in other words the mkt sucks and I should just get out for awhile! Harold and Richard.. Multi monitor cards... I've done quite a bit of looking around and finally decided to go with the Appian Pro Dual port cards. I'm currently running 2 P2-300 machines with a DTN box on each and WOWdt on each. Machine #1 is for WOWdt charts and is used for interday scanning and basic charting (and access to my Quickbooks software for business)..w/ 2 19" monitors. Machine #2 is for WOWdt quote lists, time and sales and news (on one 19" monitor) 2nd monitor 17" is for MBTrading. Setup was quick and totally painless, working great. Couple notes: 1. I thought of going with NT but most of my "other" SW is non NT 2. I put the Beta Win 98 in another machine on my back desk - NO WAY - BUG CITY (maybe in 99 but hopefully NT by then !! 3. I tried to put both Pro cards in one machine, supposed to be OK .. I have 440LX boards, there seems to be a problem specific to those boards, they're working on it. I believe them because (next) 4. Support - Appian has some of the best support people I've come across in a long time. (I am a test site for for a 1/2 dozen hardware/software items). These good people not only pick up the phone promptly, they also call back with answers (that means they're working on the problem off phone too. All and all I've built myself a little spaceship here (turn the lights off and the room still glows including me :) All I really need now is more electrical outlets ! I'm counting 30 (really !) pieces in 4 double household outlets :) :) :0
