You are not missing anything. Up until just now I didn't know you could select all of the files in the Windows directory and all of the Windows's sub-directories except one file at one time. I had mental block about being able to select sub-directories and files at the same time. Being able to select sub-directories and files at the same time makes a big difference between a one step backup of Windows and its sub-directories and a multi-step backup.
