Joey,

300Mhz Celeron in a few weeks and higher speed grades WITH CACHE in September

Why it takes Intel so long to integrate L2 cache to chip itself? Also, don't forget that Intel would create unbearable bugs while integrating the L2 cache to the chip. Bugs is Intel tradition, isn't it?

<<Plus, Intel will have a few surprises under their sleeve as well...>>

Yes they will hire hundred of top notch lawyers lie to DOJ about Intel monopoly. The DOJ should keep Intel busy and drain their cash for the next 3-10 years.

Joey,
I doen't think the benchmarks are that bad. Especially in light of cost vs performance.
Even you say, wait for the Medocino. Isn't that a bit like saying the Celeron was a cruel joke? <G> The cacheless Celeron is DOA, admit it.
I feel your pain.
Besides, I've you want to play games, buy a Nintendo or a 3-D Now K6...at best.
