On Gateway:

All the stories say Gateway did it with Microsoft's blessing, if not at Microsoft's actual behest. I'm surprised Dell hasn't done the same thing, since Michael Dell and Bill Gates are such good friends.

Have you seen either of the videos on the Waco murders by the DOJ?

I heartily recommend "Waco: The Rules of Engagement." It's really interesting to see the interspersed clips of the FLIR footage showing the gunfire directed at the buildings and the footage of the FBI officials lying to Congress saying that the FBI never fired a shot.

This documentary was nominated for an Oscar, BTW.

I remember a computer with initials for a name - I think it began with A. Anyway they had some screwy start up screen and it screwed up everything. Gateway is not a software outfit they are a box maker and the sooner they figure it out the better off their shareholders will be. I wish I could remember the name of that computer co. - they used to make "add on boards" before they got into boxes. Oh well that's how great their own screen enhancement was.
