Jim, The MII, in its current state, is pretty pathetic. Let's face it, people want game performance with their consumer PCs. The K6 beat out the MII precisely because the MII had a weak FPU (why else; and don't say marketing!). But, still, the K6 couldn't come close to the gaming performance of the PII. Now AMD has the K6-2. The miserable MII isn't even as good as the K6 Classic. The MII would be a great chip if it could be produced at high yield at the higher speed grades. But, unfortunately, it can't (this is my biggest worry about MXi, by the way). Anyway, the MII is a non-issue. Cyrix is just throwing it out there to kill time until the MXi is released. Pravin.
