I had seen it several places already edited. I just thought it would be fun to track down the original. I think it is posted on SI on 6 or 7 different threads. <gg>

DD, I'd like to add some intelligence that was found in another advisory somewhere. Had copied it for my files several days ago. The company they were talking about is not relevant to this board though our scenario may soon be the same.

"MARKET MAKERS (Who they are and what they do)

Every market maker house has traders that trade for their house and they split the profits between the house and themselves 50/50. If buying starts coming into a stock , in more cases than often, they go short on the stock hoping to buy it back cheaper. In the case of XXXX, this misfired on them as they messed with a tight and a real deal. They got caught from $1.80 all the way to $8.25 high in less than 3 weeks. As the price was going higher, to make their books look good for month end, they shorted at the higher levels doubling or tripling their short positions so their averages came higher on the shorts.

Every such house has a different month end starting from the 23rd all the way to 2nd of the month. If you noticed that XXXX tried to go higher and higher each day for the past 3 weeks early in the day but in the last 6 trading sessions it would fizzle in the late part of the day as MM manipulation would drop it lower so it would close down so each MM could show either a smaller loss, gain or no change in their house books of trading. We feel that every house on the street is short on the XXXX and thus these disparate maneuvers making it even more risky for themselves as when they offer lower, people buy more and more stock.

Also, for some of the brokerages, their computers settle the accounts
around 3:00 PM EST and hence keep the bid lower and then start moving it up after that time as it already registered with the computer. Notice in todays trading, the stock started moving up after 3:00 pm EST.

XXXX should start moving aggressively upwards on very minimal volume
starting tomorrow possibly surpassing the old high this week depending on how the markets perform. We have word that the company has surprises waiting in the wings for all patient shareholders and not to forget the shorts . So far to date , the company has not disappointed anyone. "

Almost sounds like Ftel doesn't it?

Best regards,

Larrie
