Good to see u here from the FTEL thread (and yes I am still waiting...<g>)Hi Victor, I still believe in the Doc;) My baseless predictions and thoughts on World Cup: My favourite team has always been Brazil. But only once a South American team has won it in Europe (and no European team won it in the Americas). After watching Brazil in some friendlies they didn't look too good. As far as Romario, I never liked the player he has a tendency to disappear for very long stretches of a game. I hope he doesn't make it and I believe Brazil will be better for it. France will go very far in the tournament and I predict to win it all. I hope US makes it to the 2nd round but it will be very tough indeed. As far as Harkes goes good riddance. I just hope Reyna will be okay to play, without him US just flounders. I believe they 'll make it if they don't loose to the Germans. Yugoslavia is the dark horse, they got a great team but inexperience in WC games can be a factor. Scotland will return home after the first round. Without McAllister they are lifeless. Cameroon done also. Nigeria could surprise, Bora always works its magic. I wish Jamaica well how can you not like this team? Chile and Paraguay's inexperience will do them inn. Mexico and Argentina will do very well and Argentina could get to the final. I hope Denmark goes home too because they qualified against my home country Greece in the last game (Please don't mention Greece's performance in 94 WC, we have never been more humiliated before, EVER !) So here are my predictions for the final 4: 1. France 2. Germany 3. Brazil 4. Argentina My 6month old son will be wearing a Ronaldo jersey, the gift of my brother who lives in Brazil. I just hope the final does not get decided by penalty kicks again... Just by typing the words World Cup I get chills. I can't wait for the games to start. I have so many memories since 1978 (I was 11 back then). I used to play the game and always dreamed of a pro career in my home country Greece. A couple of nasty injuries took care of that dream. Again let's keep this thread going... George
