Shalom Thank You for an honest answer. However, I do have to take issue with a couple of points. <<On the issue of those members not being interested in the ways of God, again is not my opinion. Just look at who and what causes they support.>> Actually that is not a fact, that is your opinion based on your interpretation. The abortion issue is a very complicated issue with many persuasive and intelligent people on both sides of the issue. To state that either sides points are more factual than the other is certainly one sides opinion, as the other side can counter with their "facts" just as vehemently. <<Consider what God has said even in the case of accidential abortion. Exod 21:22-23 22 If men strive, and hurt a woman with child, so that her fruit depart from her, and yet no mischief follow: he shall be surely be punished, according as the woman's husband will lay upon him; and he shall pay as the judges determine. 23 And if any mischief follow, then thou shalt give life for life>> I am no expert on the Bible. However, even if I took the Bible literally, which I and many others dont, I would still interpret that passage differently. It appears to me that passage is not talking about accidental abortion, but the intentional harm of a child through malicious physical action. Now you may claim that abortion is just that. many willclaim otherwise. Neither side can claim factual proof when the issue is so hotly contested. Besides, there is a difference of intent between a man physically harmmng a pregnant women and abortion. Regardless of your thoughts, the parties involved are not intending harm, they are intending to make the best of a bad situation. That is a major difference in my opinion. Given the diversity on this planet in regards to how people accept and worship God(even the diversity within the Christian religion is mind boggling) it is very difficult to determine who is and isnt "Godless". As far as woen's rights are concerned, it appears that even "women of God" are concerned. There is a story in today's Chicago Sun Times(page 30) about a nun who is protesting the lack of women's rights. Sister Donna Quinn, a nun for 35 years, is hoping to "strike a national spark for the cause of female equality in the church". "As for what drives her-and caused her to clash years ago with church authorities over women's reproductive rights- Quinn is blunt. I feel it in my bones, she said. We're not so way out. We feel we have a moral obligation to correct a wrong." Given the difference of opinion within the church, I think it is nest to impossible to state that anything is a fact, and not opinion. Mark
