Hi Christine, I have just been lurking for the last few days. Yes, our paper had the story on the planet discovery. I have been expecting planets to be discovered mainly because there is nothing unique about our Sun and solar system. Nature usually doesn't do something just once, and planets forming along with the stars is probably very common. I am more interested in recent discoveries about water ice on Mars. I will repeat that I believe that life will be found to be flourishing below the surface of Mars, where the bottom of the ice that is below the surface is warmed by the heat of the interior. I was ridiculed by both Father Terrence and Iggy on this subject months ago, and I will require a great deal of penance from them both when I am vindicated, or they will not be allowed to address me. It is a near certainty that we will make contact with intelligent life in the next 50 years. I hope that I will be alive to see the event take place. I am dying to know if they will be Christians or Moslems, or what. Surely god would have sent Jesus there to save them. Or maybe he would have sent a different guy. Del
