Mark, at least, I do not feel to bad now that slob beat me, since he missed to. I hope he got out on the mini rally we had.

I am still parked on the sides and do not expect to see your 11, at least not before we see a very worthwhile rally to about 19 or so. My low for the next 3 months is 13.5 (to September 1st). PS, the date of the low is the same as I provided before. Now, do I have to provide a rationale this time as well?

Lets the games begin, it seems that this time, at least I'll be smack in the middle. I wonder what slob will chose to do to "spite" me, be lower or higher <VBG>?

Mark: Wait a second. I was the only participant to project a high-low range for the designated 3-month period of the poll, which officially ends on 19 June. My low ($20.50)was much too high. My high was 26. Maybe it's much too low? Three more weeks. Stranger things have happened.

Thanks for taking the lead on this. In the end you indeed were the smart one, resisting a buy when it hit your projected low of $18.

I think there are more uncertainties with Adaptec than the market can bear. It is bad enough that there were two successive negative surprises, a shroud of law suits, a glut of inventory, and a giant cash/debt purchase. Add to that the current overall tech stock correction and you end up with this slide to oblivion.

When the skies clear--and they will, sometime--and earnings recover to at least projections, the inventory problem abates, Symbios merges (or Adaptec is back fat with cash,) and techs return to favor, my stock should shine again. But I will be much more vigilant (famous last words) in assessing when to sell. Next time I'll give less heed to the analysts--the so-called experts--who screwed up so mightily, and be better informed of the trends myself.

Starowl, eating a heaping plate of humble pie.
