Holly, t sounds as though the wonderful world of macros and WordPerfect's beautiful macro language eluded your detection. No, I did use some macros. I had forgotten, but they were very useful. Another reason to give up WP/DOS, though, is that other people in the family need to use the word processor as well, and not everyone is either DOS or F-key literate, templates notwithstanding. Kids in school are another reason to go to Windows. But you are correct -- all the professional transcriptionists I know still use WP 5.1. They don't have any use for a mouse and want to keep their fingers always on the keyboard. Jack
