Zeev, I gotta disagree on this one. Not that it really hurts intel, but they are behind in verifying both the processor and support chips. But you are right, there isnt a real strong need for merced. Back to S3, i've been digging up what i can on them. I cant say i see enough to jump in though. The gx3 team has done a pretty good job getting savage out.... finally! I did hear the mobile version is a bit behind. The gx3 has gotta get some good design wins though.... as there is a lot of competition and the next gen gx4 is not scheduled until 1999. For me its worth waiting on the sidelines until i see some decent wins for Savage. And this quarters revenues are going to be the worst... hopefully for the longs this should be the bottom.
