San Jose, Calif. -- High-speed Internet services are starting to steamroll with the release of some key hardware and services in several major markets.

Both Cisco Systems Inc. and Pacific Bell, a division of SBC Communications Inc., last week unveiled products related to Asymmetrical Digital Subscriber Line (ADSL) service.

Bell Atlantic Corp., Philadelphia, meanwhile, is expected to become the last of the regional Bell operating companies to announce its own ADSL plans at Supercom in Atlanta next week, according to sources ....
